WS5 – 1st International Workshop on Terahertz for Integrated Sensing and Communication (THz-ISAC)


The emerging 6G system will explore the THz spectrum and to enable the combined sensing and communications. The objective is to ultimately integrate the functionalities of communions and sensing into a single device a, single spectrum and single platform. Considering the high resolution and throughput that THz can bring for sensing and communication, it has become an attractive research area. And THz sensing and communication will be one of inevitable services for 6G. 

This workshop provides the opportunity for audience from both academia and industry to exchange views on THz technologies for communication and sensing systems. It addresses the technical challenges associated with new applications/use-cases, new deployment scenarios for 6G and the potential solutions, including innovative design for air interface, fundamental communication theory for expending capability of 6G in Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), high accuracy positioning, imaging based on THz, hardware and component design to enable innovative design for 6G terminal.
